Tammie Tsang, N.C., is a professionally trained chef and a certified functional Nutrition Consultant based in Hong Kong. She attended Natural Gourmet Institute, New York and Bauman College, California. She has worked in mission-based restaurants such as Blue Hill at Stone Barns in New York (2 Michelin stars), has cooked in the prestigious James Beard House in New York, and Grassroots Pantry, Hong Kong.
She shares her knowledge in combining professional cooking techniques with holistic nutrition to promote sustainable and health-supportive choices in the kitchen. Her services include: migration to a healthy family or an individual's diet, practical and delicious meal plans, engaging workshops, customised cooking classes, to longer term functional nutrition healing programs for those suffering from Non-Communicable Diseases.
Food and nutrition is Tammie’s third career. When she traded in a suit for a chef’s jacket, she grew increasingly uncomfortable witnessing the waste we were creating. Food waste, plastic waste. Something wasn’t right about the convenience of mass orders of factory-farmed meat and vegetables from industrialized agriculture. Coincidentally, she witnessed more frequent news of cancer diagnosis in people around her. Was it a coincidence? She became a certified functional Nutrition Consultant and a professionally trained chef because true nourishment only exists when nutrition is sound and the food is satisfying.
As a mother of one, Tammie advocates consumption of real and whole foods that are both delicious and nutrient-dense, starting as early as 6 months old in life. Moving away from a convenience-driven supermarket lifestyle, she shares her knowledge in combining professional cooking techniques with holistic nutrition to promote sustainable and health-supportive choices in the kitchen.
Teaching about, and serving real food with a clean conscience is her happiness, this is why she became a nutritionist and a chef.
